All players are required to meet the age requirement of 8-14 years of age by December 31, 2024.
2025 season players must be born in 2016-2010:
10&U: 8-10-years-old 12&U: 11-12-years-old 14&U: 13-14-years-old
Most younger 10&U players will experience a learning curve as they transition from coach or machine pitch to regulation baseball. Please remember this is a learning season and your player and their coaches will need as much constructive support as possible.
Communication: Once players have been assigned to a team you will receive an “invite” email from TeamSnap. Download the TeamSnap app on your smartphone and/or check your e-mail for team information. Coaches utilize TeamSnap to communicate information related to games, practices, weather, etc.

Equipment: Auburn City Rec will supply a jersey for each player. Players must purchase their own baseball pants for the season. Coaches will choose the color of pants for their own team, so please ask your coach, once assigned, what your team color will be for the season. Players will also need a baseball glove and cleats to participate; tennis shoes are not recommended for competition. Auburn City Rec will have helmets and bats for each team; however, personal player bats and helmets are allowed.
Game Schedule: The season typically starts in mid-late May and games are normally played on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons/evenings. The season will conclude with Tournaments in the last weekends of June. Coaches reschedule any make-up/postponed games with the coach from the other team.
Support: If you are interested in coaching, please check that box during your player’s registration. If your player has not been contacted shortly after the close of registration contact the commissioner!
Practice: Your coach will notify you of practice times and locations. All scheduling is handled by the coaches.

Team Pictures: Coaches schedule team and individual photos. This is optional but coaches would like to have all players present at a minimum for team photos.
