Housing Programs
The City of Auburn is currently constructing two new single family homes with funding from the Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Fund (NAHTF). Applicants must qualify to purchase the homes under the program guidelines. The City of Auburn is offering a development subsidy of up to $50,000 of the total construction cost. The City of Auburn operates in accordance with the Federal Fair Housing Law. It is illegal to discriminate against any person because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin in the sale or rental of housing or residential lots, in advertising the sale or rental of housing, in the financing of housing, in the provision of real estate brokerage services, and in the appraisal of housing. Blockbusting is also illegal.
