Auburn Volunteer Fire Department

Our Mission | Volunteer Firefighters

The Auburn Fire Department provides emergency services for approximately 75 square miles of Nemaha County. Roughly 5,500 people live in the Auburn fire district. The department is a public, all volunteer fire department with 40 volunteer firefighters. They provide both city and rural fire suppression, vehicle rescue, search and resue, along with mutual aid to other departments.

  3. Fire prevention
  4. Controlled burns of old homes or buildings
  5. Issuance of open burn permits
